3 attempted to understand me:
McCain slowly creaked out of bed, but got tired half way, and sat upright on the edge to catch his breath to prevent those pesky chest pains he got from moving too fast. There were enough conspiracy theories in his supposedly "Grand Old Party" alone, about how he was going to die before or in office - they didn't need another one. Pre-Bush, nobody would have dared take about him behind his back; now everybody made fun of Bush behind his, so they felt justified in doing the same to any candidate. Post-Bush, whatever happened, was certainly going to be a bitch for the (not-so) GOP.
He shuddered suddenly, nearly losing his balance, remembering the dream he'd had last night; it had been distburbing to say the least, with one of those chupa-creatures chasing him around. What were they called?! He knew it had probably been sparked by both his late night Wikipedia-ing and conversation with Palin about how she must never ever say the words "convenient apocalypse" together in public. In fact, best not to mention the latter ever. Chupacabra! That was it. Some Spanish thing. He looked over to his mantle, where a picture of his idol, L.B.J, stood. Well, would have stood, if he'd admitted to anyone that in his opinion, the president of all time was actually a Democrat. Not only had he escalated the war in Vietnam, he'd been nearly as old as he was (give or take 20 years) when in office, and had been in worse health. An inspiration indeed.

(PS: that took a lot of effort/procrastination, right there. I'm sort of proud.)
;-)
That is awesome. Thanks for rising to the occasion!
