events; you might have noticed...

...that October is the most EPIC month of the year. Really, try making an ominous but alluring title using any other one.
Some interesting stuff is going on, as well, the most obvious and important of which is the onset of my faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaavorite holiday!
Also, today is Tiki's birthday! Though she isn't having that awesome drag party after all (sigh), it's still pretty landmark and awesome! So keep holding on-sure, crap is invading your life with all the ferocity of a number of vicious...uh, mutant pirate creatures or something. And in the immortal words of Godzilla...

To continue, some quotes from school!

"Shut up, she's dying!"

Me: "Catatonic."
Ana: "What? I'm addicted to cats?"

JM: "Dude, I am so your bitch forever."

And...my H'ween costume!
A very complicated twist on the classic gothic ballerina. It involves my costume from two years ago, one of those generic spider-princess things, a sparkly sequin skirt from my previous dance life, a tutu, and a black skirt, and so as not to have it vetoed by the parents again, tights AND leggings.
And a vest, with a pocketwatch. And fishnet...glove-things and stuff.

Anyway, I am very excited and stayed totally within my budget (read: nonexistent). I love Halloween. Being theatrical, I see it as another chance to dress up and become someone else for a night.
Granted, I do that a lot, but for one night, all the world's a stage, you know?
I'm lovin' it.

In other news, I have two essays to write and NaNo is starting up on November first (squee!), so expect a special novel-related masthead for my first NaNo book and the first in the series of the same name...
*drumroll*
Living Pretty!
I am super-pumped to start writing it, and my characters are quite pleased that they'll be let out of their box soon.
It's technically teen chick lit, but here's a preview:

Once upon a time, the six of them were best friends.

Then they stopped believing in fairy tales.

Meet...

Faye Peakes-Golden. She's behind a lot more than the theater sets and gossip columns at Hadley High.
Tess Verano isn't who everyone thinks she is...in a very, very literal sense.
Avery Brook has some personal scarring she doesn't want anyone to know about...at any cost.
Haylee Madison loves to love people a little too much for her own good.
Melody Hague is starting to lose track of all her dirty little secret lives.
and Ava Stone has the biggest secret of all...and ways of finding out everyone else's.

Guard your skeletons, because these guilty girls don't have any
trouble coaxing them out of their closet.

Anyway, keep up and enjoy, and be sure to click 'read me' in my lynkage!
